Hauck Family City Session

I can’t say enough about being back in Pittsburgh. There is so much to love about this city!  Beautiful skyline, amazing bridges, culture, and some pretty unique buildings that make for awesome backdrops.  When the Haucks asked to do their session in downtown, my heart skipped a beat a little!  I knew there were going to be so many opportunities for this family to not only create beautiful pictures but also beautiful memories.

One thing that I LOVED about this session was that I was able to focus on ‘moments’ with them.  We didn’t do much posing and I assigned myself as their paparazzi for the evening, followed them around, capturing moments of them being themselves. Don’t you just want to be a part of their little family?

Since there is no shortage of landmarks in Pittsburgh, it was easy for us to hit up a few special ones all within close proximity to each other.

One of my favorite places we stopped was in Market Square.  There was music playing, people all around, and this family just let loose without a care in the world.  They were completely themselves and didn’t care who was watching.

These next three B&Ws sum up motherhood and make me smile…undies showing, because, hey, that’s life with a 4 year old:

And we all know what it’s like to be cooking dinner and feel tiny hands around your legs like this:

And because we never, ever, ever want to forget those tiny bum cheeks:

Back to what I said about being paparazzi: This is clearly documenting what it is like to be awesome parents.  The girls asked Mommy and Daddy to play Ring Around the Rosies- in the middle of Market Square.  Some folks might say “oh, maybe later” or may have cared that there was a boatload of people sitting in the square watching…But not Lisa and Aaron- and that’s what makes them awesome parents!

Because there is nothing sweeter than a Daddy-Daughter Dance – I can see this on display at Miss Delaney’s wedding someday (I know you’re in tears Lisa) :

We made our way to Point State Park and what are the chances of having a docked boat named Delaney?  While we were snapping some shots by the boat, the owners happened to come up and question what we were doing!  Once we explained that her name was Delaney, they were thrilled and gave us their contact info so they could could see the photos.

We had such a fun night walking around the city and I can’t say enough about how well these girls were for our extra long session. Their reward was getting to stick their toes in the fountain!  It was such a fun night in this great city with such a great family.  Thank you to Lisa, Aaron, Mallory and Delaney for letting me capture you just as you are…one beautiful family.
